Final Fantasy XV director asks if you want a happy or sad ending

Final Fantasy XV

The director of Final Fantasy XV has asked fans whether they want to see a happy or sad ending to the game. Hajime Tabata reportedly posed the question to fans at a recent meet and greet.

Here’s everything we know about Final Fantasy XV’s PC version.

One attendee tweeted (in Japanese) from the event to say that Tabata asked fans “do you guys want to see a happy ending? How about the opposite, a super bad ending?”

Despite the fact that Final Fantasy XV has been out for over a year, with an ending for the base game very clearly decided on, the story as a whole is clearly not complete just yet. Although it seems that Tabata has largely come to a decision as to how he’ll draw the story to a close already, he has plenty of time to change his mind: Square Enix recently revealed that the game would be receiving four DLC chapters, rather than the three that were originally planned. The fourth and final one of those won’t be available until some time in 2019, so there’s room no matter which way Tabata chooses to take the story.

Final Fantasy XV Windows Edition releases on March 6. If you order before May 1, you can get either the Half-Life or Sims 4 packs, depending on whether you use Steam or Origin for your purchase.
