Looking for help collecting a basketball, coin, and shoe in a single match of the new Fortnite LTM? The Fortnite Downtown Drop challenges are more than likely driving some of you a bit mad. The LTM has a Marmite effect on many: you either love it or you hate it. One of the latest challenges to unlock for the Jordan brand mashup you to collect three different objects in a single match, which if you’re struggling with the fiddly controls is no mean feat.
Of course grabbing one of the hundreds of coins dotted around the level is easy, and you’ll more than likely have already spotted one or two shoes, but grabbing a basketball is pretty tricky unless you’re confident with the movement mechanics. Fortunately, we’ve managed to find one basketball that’s easy to grab if you follow our advice.
So join us as we show you how to collect a basketball, coin, and shoe in Fortnite’s Downtown Drop LTM, which will hopefully help you grab a new piece of skateboarding back bling.
Where to collect a basketball, coin, and shoe in Fortnite
The first piece you’ll want to grab is a Fortnite Downtown Drop basketball. There are a few of these across the map that you can get if you spend a few hours practicing your movement and chaining ramps together. However, if you just want to jump in and complete this challenge as soon as possible then we have a better idea.
Down the very first ramp of the map on the left-hand side you’ll spot a cage with a basketball court inside. On the top of the cage you’ll spot a line of coins ending with a basketball. Enter the cage, back yourself into the same corner as the basketball, lob an impact grenade just in front of you, and jump just before it detonates. This should send you soaring over the lip of the cage in just the right spot to grab the basketball.
Next up, you’ll want to grab a shoe. These are typically in hidden areas around the edges of the map, but there’s one right at the start that’s very easy to grab. Simply keep to the left side of the spawn and as the race begins continue forwards, seeking out an alleyway on the left side of the street as you go, at the end of it you should spot a shoe.
There’s also a shoe in the same alley where you find Jonesy behind a wooden fence in case you want to kill two birds with one stone. We’re not going to waste your time telling you how to find the coins as they’re all over the map.
