Fortnite pros will partner with celebrities in $3m tournament at E3

The battle bus is headed to E3, as Epic has revealed a 100-player celebrity Pro-AM tournament, with a $3 million prize going to charity. 50 pros and 50 celebrities will pair up to compete in Duos, with the victors scoring a whopping $3,000,000 prize to donate to the charity of their choice.

Fortnite all-star Ninja (who previously broke records streaming with the 6 God, Drake) will team up with DJ Marshmello, while Myth will take NBA star Paul George under his wing. Meanwhile, streamer Pokimane will pair up with ‘Panda’ rapper Desiigner, Demetrius Johnson joins Gotaga, and YouTube sensation Markiplier joins forces with Community actor Joel McHale to complete the strangest selection of names ever compiled in the same paragraph. More competitors will be confirmed in the weeks leading up to E3.

The royale showdown will be streamed live starting at 15:30 PST (23:30 BST) on Tuesday, June 12. E3 attendees can catch the action live by stopping by Epic’s booth- 2723 in the South Hall of the LA Convention Center.

If you want to attendlive, you can get tickets for $10 via an email link. Emails will be sent in waves to interested players – though only those within the Los Angeles area – until all 3,000 are sold.

For those at the show who can’t score tickets for the Celebrity Pro-AM, Epic will be holding a ‘Party Royale’ at its booth on the evening of June 12th tothank “Fortnite” fans, players, and partners for their support. Tickets are separatefrom the Pro-AM event and will be available at the Fortnite booth for attendees over the age of 18. Expect to see a lot of flossing.
