A quick guide for the Fortnite Season 5 week 3 challenges

Fortnite Clay Pigeon locations

What are the Fortnite week 3 challenges? Here are the latest Fortnite challenges and how to complete them, to help you earn those sweet, sweet Battle Stars (and that nice bonus XP, too).

You know the drill by now. The third week of Fortnite season 5 is about to begin, and it’ll bring with it the Fortnite week 3 challenges. As is common at this point, they’ve leaked ahead of time, so we’ve got an early rundown for you. Again, there are three free challenges that anyone can complete, as well as four Battle Pass challenges, that you can only access if you’ve bought into Epic’s cosmetic system. There are, of course, still four normal challenges and three ‘hard’ challenges for you to get your teeth into.

If you’ve not completed the previous weeks’ challenges yet, never fear! We’ve got the Fortnite Season 5 week 1 challenges and Fortnite week 2 challenges, as we all info on where you can find the Fortnite Road Trip battle stars. Without further ado, here are the Fortnite Season 5 week 3 challenges.

Fortnite week 2 challenges – free

Deal Damage to opponents in a single match (500) – 5

You don’t technically have to eliminate anyone to complete this challenge, but it’ll definitely help if you do. A character on full health and shields has 200 health, so you’d ideally want to kill at least three enemies in a match to help you complete this challenge. It’ll be much easier in squads or duos though – damage dealt also counts against downed targets, who you can deal an extra 100 damage to.

Use a launchpad (1) – 5

This one’s easy – you can find launchpads in supply drops, llamas, and as floor loot. Simply place one, and launch into the sky to complete this challenge.

Follow the treasure map found in Flush Factory – 10

The treasure map hasn’t appeared yet, but once it does, all you’ll need to do is head to Flush Factory and find it. Once you’ve done that, X marks the spot to help you earn that brand new Battle Star.

Search chests in Fatal Fields (7) – 5

Fatal Fields is near the south coast, above Lucky Landing and Flush Factories. Your best bets for chest spawns are the stables, the house, and the big red barn, but remember that there are plenty more scattered about the surrounding area and outbuildings. Open seven chests to complete this challenge.

Shoot a clay pigeon in different locations (5) – 5

You might have noticed the clay pigeon shooters dotted around the map. There are five in total, meaning you’ll have to find, activate, and shoot a clay pigeon at each of them to complete this challenge. There’s one behind the hill to the West of Pleasant Park, one on the coast south of Shifty Shafts, one by the bridge between north of Tomato Town, one in the north-east corner of Loot Lake, and a final one south of Paradise Palms.

Eliminate opponents at Haunted Hills (5) – 10

This week, your designated kill-zone is Haunted Hills. See off five adversaries with your weapon of choice to complete this challenge.

Explosive weapon eliminations (3) – 10

You can use any explosive weapon you like to complete this challenge, from clingers to the rocket launcher itself. Get three eliminations to claim your battle stars.

The challenges haven’t gone live yet, of course (they should be available from tomorrow morning). It’s worth bearing in mind that some of these challenges could be subject to change before then, but we’ll change the information in this article if that is the case.
