Wondering if there’s a way to figure out what each of the Fortnite presents contains before actually opening one? Like a naughty child on Christmas Eve, we too find ourselves shaking each present and guessing what’s inside.
Each day over the holiday break Fortnite will release a new daily challenge as part of the Winterfest 14 days of Christmas event. To complete the first of these winter-themed set of challenges, you’ll first need to track down the Winterfest Cabin in Fortnite.
Unlike the usual Fortnite challenges, the Winterfest Cabin isn’t part of the map and can be found on the main menu screen in the battle royale tab of the game’s menu. You’ll see a snowflake in the top left corner of the main menu, simply click this and it’ll take you to a screen where you can see the Winterfest Cabin decorated in the background. Continue to the lodge for this week’s Fortnite search holiday stockings in the Winterfest Cabin challenge. You’ll also see a mountain of presents on either side of the fireplace, you can select a Fortnite present from under the tree each day, we’ve already got the Snowshaker emote and the Millennium Falcon glider.
What items are in the Fortnite presents?
The wrapping paper appears to be different for different players, but the boxes are all the same size and shapes across different accounts, leading some players to think these boxes contain the same items.
We’ve done some digging, however, and it seems like there is no way to tell what reward is in each of the Fortnite presents, although you can figure out what type of gift you’ll get my giving the box a shake and listening out for signs. There is one notable exception to this, which is the present that’s shaped like the Millenium Falcon, which, er, contains the Millenium Falcon glider.

- The Great Crackup loading screen

- Shortbread Slicers harvesting tool
- Merry Chipmas music
- New Year 2020 wrap
- Holly and Divey contrail
- Well Wrapped wrap
- The Sith back bling
- Millennium Falcon glider
And that’s all we know about the Fortnite presents system. Alas there are no new Fortnite skins waiting in any of the presents, but there are some great rewards considering the event is totally free. In case you’ve not nosed around the Winterfest Cabin, it’s worth sitting by the fire for a while as it will reward you with Supercharged XP – much better than Netflix’s version. Oh, and there’s a Winterfest challenge each day, too.
