The Forza Horizon 4 demo is out now

A demo for Forza Horizon 4 is now available

Forza Horizon 4

September 12, 2018 A demo for Forza Horizon 4 is now available on the Windows Store.

The next Forza Horizon game won’t be out for another month, but thankfully, you can play it early with the Forza Horizon 4 demo today. After a sudden, surprising release date of September 12 appeared on the Microsoft Store, the demo has now gone live.

The demo’s size is 27.83 GB, which is significantly bigger than the entirety of something like Assassin’s Creed 3. So even if you can play the demo as long as you like, you might have to put some time aside to download it. You might also want to check out the Forza Horizon 4 system requirements.

We’re still downloading it, and you can do the same via the Microsoft Store, across both PC and Xbox One. The demo’s description doesn’t tell us much about what you’ll be able to play. The description simply reads “dynamic seasons change everything at the world’s greatest automotive festival. Go it alone or team up with others to explore beautiful and historic Britain in a shared open world. Collect, modify, and drive over 450 cars. Race, stunt, create and explore.”

That’s likely a placeholder, since it’s it’s doubtful the full Forza Horizon 4 car list will be part of a demo. You might get a better idea of what to expect via our Forza Horizon 4 preview.

The Forza Horizon 4 release date is October 2, so you don’t have that long to wait if you’d rather just play the main game. You can, of course, get a few days’ early access if you buy into the game’s Ultimate Edition. Given, however, that doing so will set you back $99.99, you might be better off just playing the demo.
