Forza Horizon 4 is getting a James Bond day one car pack

Bond, James Bond cars are coming to Forza Horizon 4

We might currently be without an actor to play James Bond, but we won’t have to go without driving cool spy cars. Forza Horizon 4’s day one car pack will include ten cars from across the half-century that the MI6 agent has been with us, including – you guessed it – a whole lot of Aston Martins.

The “James Bond Edition” vehicles include the 1964 Aston Martin DB5, 1969 Aston Martin DBS, 1974 AMC Hornet X Hatchback, 1977 Lotus Esprit S1, 1981 Citroën 2CV6, 1986 Aston Martin V8, 1999 BMW Z8, 2008 Aston Martin DBS, 2010 Jaguar C-X75, and 2015 Aston Martin DB10. That covers everything from Goldfinger to Spectre, and those should all prove entirely appropriate for the game’s U.K. setting.

You won’t be firing off any oil slicks or machine guns during races, though you will see some of the less violent gadgets implemented in the Forzavista viewer. Those include the revolving license plate and bumper rams of ‘64 Aston Martin DB5, as well as the submersible kit for for ‘77 Lotus Esprit S1.

Forza Motorsport 7 offered a similar licensed day one car pack, featuring ten vehicles from the Fast and the Furious series. That pack was $10, and it’s a safe bet that the Bond pack will be priced similarly. It will be included from the start if you purchase the Ultimate Edition, which also lets you play a handful of days before the release date.

The full announcement (beautifully titled “No Mr. Bond, I expect you to drive”) also notes that the pack includes three James Bond outfits and six phrases for quick chat. If you want to get a taste of what to expect from the game ahead of release, there’s now a Forza Horizon 4 demo available on both PC and console.
