This time it’s the Humble Store offering your fix of free games, with a gratis copy of Galactic Civilizations II to give away, complete with all expansions. The space-faring 4X title is getting on in years at this point, but if you need something strategic to occupy a rainy weekend this might be just the ticket.
Galactic Civilizations II: Ultimate Edition includes the base strategy game, which has you moving turn by turn to eventually take over the galaxy. You’ll also get the Dark Avatar expansion, which adds new units and campaign options, as well as the Twilight of the Arnor pack, which among other things lets you build your own little Death Stars.

As is usually the case with Humble’s free giveaways, they want to get you in the door for a much larger sale. Their Spring Sale is currently underway with a rotating lineup of publisher deals, currently including 2K, Ubisoft, Square Enix, Paradox, and many more. I’m told it’s essential to make your weekend gaming plans early. (No one has ever actually told me that, but it seems like good advice.)
