Inside leads as the Game Developers Choice Awards nominees are announced for GDC

The GDC Game Developers Choice Awards return in March for the 17th year. The show will once again be hosted by Double Fine’s Tim Schafer.

It all kicks off on Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at the San Francisco Moscone Center during GDC 2017, in conjunction with the Independent Games Festival Awards (IGF). If you’re not attending, you can watch it unfold on GDC’s official Twitch channel.

Playdead’s Inside, a puzzle-platformer follow up to Limbo, is up for the most accolades, including Best Audio, Best Design, the Innovation Award, Best Narrative, Best Visual Art and Game of the Year.

Overwatch also has a strong showing, as Blizzard’s shooter is up for Best Audio, Best Design, Best Technology, Best Visual Art and Game of the Year.
