Black Friday is almost upon us, bringing the classic November consumergasm to a head, but it is no longer confined to just a single day. No, as HP is proving with its Black Friday Sneak Peek sale, offering discounts of up to 63% on selected products.
Now this HP Pavilion Laptop isn’t quite up at that level, but with a still hefty 37% discount available on this 15-inch machine it’s still a hell of a bargain. Especially when you consider that it’s a notebook sporting the very latest in Intel 10th Gen processor hardware, with the shiny new 10nm production process enabling it to jam more performance and more graphical power into this slimline chassis.
What’s more, the particular Ice Lake Core i7 processor in question also comes with the top end Iris Plus graphics architecture, which is surprisingly capable of a certain level of gaming performance too. Now, I wouldn’t necessarily call this a gaming laptop, but I think you’ll be surprised at just what level of frame rates you’ll be able to squeeze out of the HP Pavilion Laptop at its native resolution.
That’s because the HP Pavilion Laptop 15t is actually sporting a smaller screen resolution than you might normally be used to as a 1080p PC gamer. Before that was the norm we had smaller resolutions, honest. And the 1366 x 768 resolution of the 15-inch screen may sound kinda low, but when you consider that it will ease the strain on the Iris Plus graphics to the point where you could actually play some games at decent frame rates… well, then it becomes a lot more palatable.
Alongside the Intel Ice Lake CPU and Iris Plus graphics is 8GB of DDR4 system memory, and a 256GB SSD backed up by 16GB of Intel Optane memory for a little storage acceleration.
With $350 knocked off the original asking price this impressively specced laptop will offer great standard PC stuff on the go, with the potential for a little light gaming too. Not bad for just $600.
