Gears of War: Ultimate Edition and Killer Instinct coming to PC not “too far into 2016”

Gears of War: Ultimate Edition has been AWOL a while, but it seems like it will finally be landing on PC, along with free-to-play fighter Killer Instinct, in early 2016.

Did you know Phil Spencer wants Xbox 360 games to work on PC? He does.

This news comes via a tweet from Xbox boss Phil Spencer, after a fan asked him if the games would be available on Windows 10 before March, to which he replied, “Haven’t announced dates yet but won’t be too far into 2016.” Cheers, Phil.

It was only recently that The Coalition reassured fans that Gears of War: Ultimate Edition was still in development, so the news that it could be coming out soon is welcome.

Apparently the PC version will support an unlimited refresh rate and textures up to 4k, meaning it will hopefully be worth the wait for people who own the best displays.

Now if only the rumour that Gears of War 4 is coming to PC could turn out to be true.

Someone tweet Phil and ask for us? Cheers.
