Grand Theft Auto 5 PC petition hits 46,000 names

A four-year-old open-world game sits comfortably in Steam’s 20 Top Sellers list this morning, thanks to its teeny tiny sales price yesterday. Yet despite GTA IV’s continued success on PC, Rockstar still haven’t seen fit to grant its sequel a release date on our fair platform.
I’m humming a familiar tune here, but we’re not the only buggers rattling our monitors. Try 46,000 PC gamers on for size.

“To Rockstar Games”, reads Canadian Mike Julliard’s petition. “Please release GTA V on PC. GTA games have been a large part of so many peoples lives and it’s a big shame not seeing the newest iteration of the game being released on the most powerful platform.
“Things like modifications have always been a HUGE part of PC gaming and modded GTA is some of the most insanely fun times you can have. I hope you consider the release of GTA V on PC as it’ll make many people very happy!”
Julliard hopes to garner 100,000 names and take the fight to Rockstar. And he’s right about the mods, y’know. Our Ten Reasons why Grand Theft Auto V should come to PC was composed entirely of them.
Thanks, Eurogamer.
