If years of poor port treatment at the hands of Rockstar hadn’t already quelled your indignant rage over the year-long delay of GTA V on PC, a Dodo might do it.
The “classic bird of flight” is just one of a number of measures Rockstar have taken to placate players good enough to have bought the latest Grand Theft Auto for console, and then again for PC.
“Ever since we announced Grand Theft Auto V on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, some of you have been asking if there will be anything extra for those PS3 and Xbox 360 players who are planning on picking up the new versions,” write Rockstar.
“We’ve created an array of exclusive items specifically for these players – with each of them connected to activities designed for you to experience the game’s massive world in new and exciting ways.”
Besides the Dodo, there’ll be a “fleet” of new vehicles found throughout the map or won in events. There’ll be a Cheval Marshall monster truck, muscle cars won in new stock car races, and a faster, more maneuverable blimp.
A new questline for Michael offers a trail of cryptic clues for a “grisly” murder. Nobody said LA Noire – but put the clues together, and you’ll unlock two Noire Style filters.
A wildlife photography challenge and graffiti-hunting distraction, too, are new. But perhaps the most exciting bit of news is this: characters and progression will be transferrable from Xbox 360 or PS3 to PC.
Have any of you lot played GTA V before? That first heist’s good, innit?
