Grid returns this September

The latest Grid hits Steam in 2019

We have a Grid 4 release date – but I guess it’s already time for us to get used to calling it just ‘Grid.’ The fourth entry in the series launches on September 13 across consoles and PC, over half a decade after the release of the previous game, Grid Autosport. The simulation racer promises more cars than you can shake a stick shift at, and driving options to please everyone from arcade fans to simulation enthusiasts.

Codemasters promises “cars from GT, Touring, Stock, Muscle, Super-Modified and more, across race types including Circuit, Street Racing, Ovals, Hot Laps, Point-to-Point and World Time Attack.” Locations will spread across four continents, so you’ll have plenty of variety as you move from event to event.

Car damage will affect your vehicle’s performance and handling, and you’ll make nemeses of opponents you keep rubbing up against. You’ll unlock new liveries, player cards, and team mates as you go.

Fernando Alonso has signed on both as a consultant and an in-game opponent. You’ll compete against Alonso’s FA Racing team in a variety of race classes, and take on Alonso himself in a final challenge.
