Guild Wars 2 is 50% off till 11 May

The Arch: still standing, for now.

To celebrate… it being May(?), Arenanet have slashed Guild Wars 2’s price by half. Instead of $50 (£35) for the basic version of the game it is just $25 (£17.50). And, if Deluxe is your thing, that release is $35 (£25), cheaper, then, that the basic build when it’s normally at full price.

This sale doesn’t last long, you have until 11 May.

The two versions on sale, Heroic and Deluxe, both come with some fancy gubbins. Both versions have, besides the game, a suit of legacy armour, a mithril box, and 10 experience boosters. If you get the deluxe edition as well then you can summon a Mistfire Wolf, you get a miniature Rytlock, Golem Banker, Chalice of Glory, and Tome of Influence.

It’s worth noting that as well as being one of the best MMOs around, Guild Wars 2 has no subscription fees. So, that purchase can be the only money you spend in what is a constantly expanding game world. Of course, if you just can’t help yourself, you can also spend money on gems in the game store.

You can buy Guild Wars 2 at these reduced prices through Arenanet’s store.
