Hearthstone’s latest patch paves the way for the upcoming Grand Tournament expansion. It’s a bit of a dull patch, honestly, and far more interesting are the datamined details about the expansion patch itself.
The new patch throws in the Tournament Grounds card back, which can be earned only this month by reaching rank 20 in the Ranked Play mode, some new quests, a bonus chest doled out at the end of the season based on highest rank reached in Ranked Play mode and some bug fixes.

First off – gorgeous animated cards! What a lovely bunch they are.

Then there’s the new game board, complete with tents and an archery range. You can see it in action below.
You can also expect new sounds, daily quests, backgrounds, end of season rewards and whole host of other things.
