Blizzard are holding a momentous event on July 22nd in San Francisco. They’re keeping hush hush about it all, revealing only that there will be some special games of Hearthstone being played, and that they have a big announcement to make. We’re going to take a leap of faith here, and suggest that this event is to reveal Hearthstone’s next expansion.
We were sent a scroll to tell us all about it, and it’s got to be big news if we were sent a scroll.

The scroll reads: “Champions are gathering from around the world to witness the next exciting thing Hearthstone has in store. News travels far and wide in search of brave new faces to answer the call to arms — Are you one of them?
Muster for battle and mark July 22 on your calendar. The next bit of news won’t come by carrier pigeon — thankfully, we have much better ways of communication now.”
Blizzard have gone on to further release details of the event, which will be held at the Folsom Street Foundry in San Francisco, and hosted by Rachel ‘Seltzer’ Quirico. Also in attendance will be Hearthstone community members Frodan and Kripparrian, and game director Eric Dodds.
Most of you will be pretty far away from San Francisco, so the event can be watched live on the PlayHearthstone Twitch channel from 2:30pm PDT on July 22nd. If you’re a local, you’ll need to join the Facebook event page to attend in person.
