Fight for King and Country in Together for Victory, Hearts of Iron IV’s first big expansion

Together for Victory Hearts of Iron IV

Shifting focus to the Commonwealth and the far reaches of the fading Empire, Hearts of Iron IV’s first major expansion, Together for Victory, centres around the British Dominions and the Commonwealth during and after the Second World War.

This expansion adds new national focus trees for the major dominions of the British Empire during the early 20th century, including Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and India. Each of these colonies gains an alternate history path, where they can choose to stay loyal to Great Britain or splinter off to forge their own destinies.

As such, a new autonomy system has been added with Together for Victory, giving select states degrees of independence under a foreign ruler. Commonwealth states can also share technology to help increase the British war effort and changes to Lend-Lease allows for allied nations to send you equipment in times of real desperation.

For those who aren’t jumping into Together for Victory just yet, Paradox Interactive have released update 1.03 for Hearts of Iron IV, titled the “Torch” update. This update brings with it a whole host of UI fixes, including a music player, achievement viewer, plus new alerts and notifications. Alongside the major Commonwealth territories, smaller nations like Pakistan, Botswana, Kenya, Mozambique, British Malaya, Congo and more have been added to the list. For a full rundown of all the balance changes and bug fixes, check out the patch notes over on Paradox’s official site.

Together for Victory is now available on Steam for $14.99/£10.99.
