Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice enters alpha, is now playable from start to finish

A new developer diary has been released for Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice, showing off how the team at Ninja Theory used experts to delve into Norse myth, while also using medical experts to respectfully tackle the subject of psychosis.

There’s no release date yet, but it’ll be added to our upcoming PC games list when there is.

It’s nearing completion, too. All of the story scenes have been motion captured, all of the voiceover has been recorded, and the game is playable in alpha from start to finish.

At the moment, Ninja Theory are playing chunks of the game and reviewing each section with developers from each discipline – story, art, sound, etc – to make sure it’s up to scratch.

After reviewing these sections, they go off and implement new ideas. This process will continue until it’s ready. Check out the new developer diary above for more.

You can add Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice to your Steam Wishlist now.
