Nvidia Showcase: new Heroes of the Storm bundle heaps on the content

Heroes of the Storm

PCGamesN Nvidia Showcase posts are created in partnership with Nvidia.

Perhaps you've heard of a MOBA game called Heroes of the Storm? It assembles a diverse roster of heroes from various Blizzard franchises such as StarCraft, Diablo, and Warcraft, and then has them engage in spectacular combat on a variety of memorable battlegrounds.

Although Heroes of the Storm is available to play as a free download, premium content is also available to help you get even more out of the experience.

That content can be purchased with real-world money, plus you can obtain some of it as a special bonus thanks to a new promotion from NVIDIA.

Heroes of the Storm

At the North American BlizzCon Championship, NVIDIA is announcing the Heroes of the Storm Kaijo Diablo Bundle, which will be available when you purchase either a new NVIDIA GeForce GTX 950 or 960 GPU. The promotion kicks off September 23 in all territories excluding China and Japan and runs through January 5, 2016, unless supplies are exhausted first.

The GTX 950 and GTX 960 provide MOBA gamers unprecedented performance and responsiveness to gain a competitive edge against their opponents. In fact, the GTX 950 delivers 3x the performance of the GTX 650, with the GTX 960 topping that performance.

Additionally, with the GTX 950 or GTX 960 and GeForce Experience, MOBA players can easily record and broadcast their games to friends and the world online with ShadowPlay.

Included in the Heroes of the Storm Kaijo Diablo Bundle are the Diablo hero, the Kaijo skin, and a seven-day Stim Pack.

Heroes of the Storm

Originally launched on PC in June of this year, Heroes of the Storm has amassed a pile of favorable reviews and currently enjoys an overwhelmingly positive Metacritic score of 86 out of 100, no small feat in a vital genre otherwise dominated by established hits such as League of Legends and Dota 2.

The newer game offers approachable gameplay that quickly gives way to some serious depth, allowing for fast-paced matches against capable teams comprised of your favorite heroes and villains.

Definitely keep the bundle in mind if you've been thinking about trying the industry's sensational new MOBA. This could be the perfect time to go for it.

NVIDIA’s GeForce GTX 950 and GTX 960 are now available to purchase from a variety of stores and online retailers.

Not much of a deal. Diablo 3 owners got the hero for free already. Stimpacks aren't that great either, I got the free one and it sure boosted exp but my gold gain from 30 a match to whopping 60... Wouldn't buy a graphics card for that :D

I've been reading the benchmarks of the GTX950, and it really doesn't look that impressive.

Comparing it to a 650... i mean, that speaks for itself. A 650 is really low spec.

I used to run a 650ti, and very recently upgraded to a 970. The difference is just amazing. You can't even compare those cards.

I know the 950 is a budget card, but still, it feels like a step backwards for Nvidia. They're not really pushing boundaries when it comes to cost per frame.

The one thing that is a selling point for the 950 is the latency enhancements... which seems to be software related (geforce experience).

But according to Nvidia, although it's out earlier for 950 owners, that latency enchancement button will come to other cards soon too...

So it's not really a unique selling point
