Hitman is getting new contracts in completely reworked Sapienza and Marrakesh maps

Hitman

The Summer Bonus Episode, as it’s being called, is coming to Hitman and it will offer up new targets that will switch up two now familiar locations.

The fun never stops during E3 week – for more PC gaming news hit up our homepage.

The two ICA missions take place before the vanilla Sapienza and Marrakesh hits and will exist outside of the main story.

Sapienza’s new hit, The Icon, asks you to take down an actor in the midst of filming on a new sci-fi blockbuster. Taking place at night, and with the town taken over by the shooting of a climactic scene in the town square, the Italian town should look sufficiently alien.

Meanwhile, in Marrakesh you’re tasked with taking down a mole for a major construction company. Again, the map will take place at night. There also won’t be any protests taking place, so it should hopefully feel fresh.

“We’ve created not one, but two missions for the Summer Bonus Episode and players will revisit the hugely popular Sapienza and Marrakesh locations with a completely different feel,” said Hannes Seifert, studio head at Io-Interactive.

“It allows us to show what we can do with Hitman as a live game – we even introduced a crazy giant killer robot, but it’s also the perfect midway point in the Hitman season before the final three locations.”

These levels will feature their own Challenges and Opportunities, and Io promise to keep them ticking over with Escalation Contracts and Elusive Targets.

There’s no word on whether it will be free or not, but the fact it’s called ‘bonus’ would certainly suggest it will be. You’ll likely have to own Sapienza and Marrakesh, obviously.

The Summer Bonus Episode – The Icon and A House Built on Sand – are coming in July before the final three locations – Thailand, the United States and the season finale in Japan – arrive later in 2016.
