How do you unlock the Silksong Double Jump? The Faydown Cloak is tucked away in a secret corner of Pharloom, and it's surprisingly difficult to get. Not only do you have to overcome a difficult platform challenge, but you also need several other traversal abilities to reach it.
The Silksong Double Jump makes Silksong's platform game challenges so much easier, and it doubles as evasive tool against hyper-aggressive Silksong bosses. However, you first need to reach the Silksong Mount Fay location, and strap in for an arduous climb. Thankfully, we can direct you exactly where to get the Faydown Cloak.

Is there Double Jump in Silksong?
Yes, there is! The Double Jump is a staple of Metroidvania games, but it appears unusually late in Silksong. Like in Hollow Knight, the Double Jump isn't strictly necessary to beat Silksong. However, it's required to unlock Silksong Act 3, so if you want to see all Silksong endings, you need to retrieve the Faydown Cloak first.
How to get Double Jump
The Faydown Cloak is located at the summit of Mount Fay. Take the left path from the Bellway in The Slab and harpoon across the rings to reach this biome and begin the climb.
On your ascent up Mount Fay, you must make liberal use of your Dash, Glide, Harpoon, and Wall Jump abilities, as well as staying light on your feet. Be prepared to pogo and grapple off enemies when you encounter them, and for the floating vertical walls to collapse on contact. It should go without saying that you should avoid spikes at all costs.

The freeze effect in this area deals damage over time, so watch your health as you go. Thankfully, the various lamps dotted around the biome negate the effect, so use them to take stock and heal if needed. Mask Shards can come in handy during this sequence, but you can also rely on the Silksong Tools like the Plasmium Phial and Ascendant's Grip to reinforce your health and take a breather during the climb. The Flintsteel, obtainable from the Deep Docks Simple Key door, also comes in clutch as it temporarily protects Hornet from the cold.

Once you complete this initial climb, head left and down through the ice caves. This sequence requires you to grapple a lot of enemies, but you can use 90 Rosaries to unlock the bench that lies at the end and save your progress. Head up from the bench to continue your ascent up and to the right, then up through another ice cave.

Once you emerge from the second ice cave, break the false wall on the left to access the hidden bench and save your progress. This final platforming sequence incorporates all the elements that have come before. There are fewer lamps around, but refrain from rushing - one wrong move and you could find yourself back at the bottom.

Catch the wind current up to the summit and play the Needolin next to the tuning mechanism to automatically receive the Faydown Cloak. Congratulations, you've unlocked Double Jump!
Now that you have the Faydown Cloak, you can access hidden areas that lead to Silksong Mask Shards, Spool Fragments, and Lost Fleas. Alternatively, locate and use Silksong Simple Keys and Apostate Key to unlock new paths and shortcuts to get around Pharloom even faster.
