Where is every Silksong Mask Shard? Just like in Hollow Knight, these hidden collectibles are used to upgrade health. While they aren't essential to complete your playthrough, locating them can keep you alive when going up against tough enemies and delving into late-game areas.
There are 20 Mask Shards in Hollow Knight Silksong. You need four to unlock a new health node, which means there's five health upgrades up for grabs. Most are hidden in secret areas of the Silksong map, and are only accessible once you unlock specific abilities. Here's every Mask Shard location and how to get them.

Bone Bottom
Speak to Pebb in Bone Bottom to purchase this Silksong Mask Shard for 300 Rosaries. This is hefty sum, especially in the early game, so swing by our favorite Silksong Rosary farm locations to get it early.
Far Fields
Far Fields Mask Shard #1
Use the wind currents to the right of the Seamstress, hitting explosive rocks to detonate them and reach the path on the top-left. Follow the path up and around, using the wind currents to avoid the thorns until you reach an explosive rock hanging from the ceiling. Use the wind current on the right to hit it, then stand back as it falls and explodes, revealing the Mask Shard in the crevice below.
Far Fields Mask Shard #2
This Silksong Mask Shard requires the Grappling Hook. Follow the path southeast of the Seamstress and enter the giant skull. Complete the combat challenge suspended over lava, then take the wind current up to reach the Mask Shard on the right.
Far Fields Mask Shard #3
This Silksong Mask Shard is only available in Silksong Act 3. Meet Sprintmaster Swift on the far eastern corner of the area map. Accept the Fastest in Pharloom quest, then beat Swift in all three races to complete the quest and automatically receive the Mask Shard.
Wormways
This Silksong Mask Shard is just below the shortcut that can be unlocked with a Silksong Simple Key. It also requires the Silksong Dash ability to traverse the gap between Mosshome and the Wormways. Drop into the water below and hit the wall on the right to reveal a secret room that holds the Mask Shard.
Shellwood
This Silksong Mask Shard is west of the Bellway, just north of the Silksong Lost Flea in this area. Bounce across the vines and break the wall on the right, then traverse the spike pit. Cut down the vines to release the Mask Shard.
Deep Docks
This Silksong Mask Shard requires the Drifter's Cloak and Wall Jump abilities. Starting from the room below bench in the Marrow, jump up to the small ledge before the lava lake, then wall jump to the upper level.
Dash right, past the enemies, then hop over the metal platforms until you reach the path on the right. Proceed through until you reach this Mask Shard. Don't forget to hit the level to the right to open this shortcut.
Bellhart
Bellhart Mask Shard #1
Accept the Savage Beastfly side quest from the Bellhart wishwell. Defeat the Savage Beastfly in Hunter's March to receive the Horn Fragment. Return to the Bellhart wishwell and turn in the quest to automatically receive this Mask Shard.
Bellhart Mask Shard #2
This Silksong Mask Shard is only available in Silksong Act 3. Accept the Hidden Hunters side quest from the Bellhart wishwell. Track down and defeat Gurr the Outcast in Far Fields, then head left from the boss room. Hit the rope to retrieve the Grass Doll, then return to the Bellhart wishwell and turn in the quest to automatically receive the Mask Shard.
Mask Shard #3
This Silksong Mask Shard is only available in Silksong Act 3. Accept the Dark Hearts side quest from the Bellhart wishwell. Destroy all the Void Masses throughout Pharloom, then return to the Bellhart wishwell and turn in the quest to automatically receive the Mask Shard.
Blasted Steps
Reaching this Silksong Mask Shard requires the Silksong Double Jump and Clawline abilities. Proceed to the southwestern corner of the biome until you reach a metal structure set into the rock, denoted by the three vertical lines on the map.
Use the Grappling Hook to skip the platform section and reach the ledge below a path north. Navigate the walls, spikes, enemies, and falling boulder to reach the Mask Shard at the top-left of this room.
The Slab
This Silksong Mask Shard requires the Silksong Apostate Key. Head right from the Broodmother boss room and unlock the door at the top of the central room in this area. Activate the spinning traps in this area by stepping on the pressure plate, then bounce off them repeatedly to reach the wall on the right-hand side. Wall jump up to the ceiling, then pogo off the trap as it moves to the left to reach the Mask Shard on the opposite ledge.
Weavenest Atla
Before you can get this Silksong Mask Shard, you need to defeat the Silksong Widow and get the Needolin to access this area. Head through the teleporter to the lower level, then wall climb up the right-hand side. Continue up and take the first path on the right. Proceed to the right, avoiding the spikes and lava lake.
Wall climb and pogo across the gap until you reach a stable ledge, then turn back on yourself and pogo up to the wall on the right. Hop up to a higher vantage, then pogo across to the Mask Shard. Watch out for the lava flow.
Mount Fay
Mount Fay Mask Shard #1
This Silksong Mask Shard is located in the bottom-right corner of the area map and also requires the Double Jump ability. Proceed left from the bench until you reach the foundations of a narrow tower. Use Double Jump to reach the hollow remains of the tower directly above, then wall jump to reach the Mask Shard over your head.
Mount Fay Mask Shard #2
This Silksong Mask Shard is right in the middle of the area map, southeast of the Silksong Flea location. Stand on the ice platform and use the Grappling Hook to smash through the ice wall directly above and enter the secret tunnel. Proceed to the right, using your Grappling Hook to break through the ceiling at the end of the path and access the right-hand passage.
Use the Grappling Hook as soon as you enter the next room, then wall climb and pogo enemies to make your way up the cavern. Be aware that you will need to double jump and glide at certain spots. Break the rock cocoon hanging from the ceiling at the top of this path to release the Mask Shard.
Choral Chambers
You can get this Silksong Mask Shard after you defeat the Cogwork Dancers. Drop down on the left-hand side then glide down to reach the left path set into the middle of the wall. Clear the combat challenge room, then hit the lever on the left and wall climb up to the secret path that leads to the Mask Shard.

Whispering Vaults
This Silksong Mask Shard is straightforward to reach, but requires the Grappling Hook. Go to the room directly below the bench at the top of the area map. Stand in the middle of the room between the tattered drapes hanging from the ceiling, then use your Grappling Hook to reach the ledge above. Break the container to release the Mask Shard.
Bilewater
You can reach this Silksong Mask Shard from the center of the Silksong Bilewater area map, and it requires the Grappling Hook ability to reach. Go midway up the main tunnel shaft, then head through the path to the right. Instead of going up and right to the bench, cross the spikes and continue through the right-hand path on the same level.
Wall climb up the wooden structure, then proceed right. Avoid the grubs that leap out of the water, then wall climb up the structure at the end of the path. Continue to follow the path then use the final platform to jump and grapple up the final wooden structure. The Mask Shard is at the top on the right.
Wisp Thicket
This Silksong Mask Shard is just up and to the right from the bench in this biome. Follow the path until you reach the poison pool, then use a combination of double jump, wall climb, and grappling hook to traverse the spikes and reach the mask shard on the upper level.
