There’s a range of offers available, from gaming laptops for on-the-go playtime to enthusiast rigs for those ready to experience real-time ray tracing. Particular highlights include the HP Pavilion, a potent gaming laptop that should cost you $1,300 but is discounted by a whopping 60%. You can also get an all-in-one Ryzen 3000 rig for $550, $300 off a top-of-the-line OMEN Obelisk PC, and a light-actuated optical mechanical keyboard, boasting tenfold faster response times, for just $80.
Read on to review all our picks, or head to the HP Store to browse for yourself. The Stars and Stripes deals are live now and runs until July 10.
Laptops
HP Pavilion Laptop – 61% off
This laptop comes with a Ryzen 5 APU, which is still a competitive quad-core processor despite being from the last hardware generation, and it’s backed up by decent graphics power from the Vega graphics silicon. You also get a 256GB NVMe SSD into the bargain.
Knocked down a whopping 60% from $1,300, this powerful laptop can be yours for $510, though you might want to pick the display upgrade you’ll find under the ‘customize’ menu – you can add a 1080p screen.
HP Envy x360 – $330 off
More of a creative laptop than one optimized for gaming, the HP Envy is still an enviable machine, with a quad-core, eight-thread Intel Core i7 CPU, a touchscreen 1080p display, 256GB SSD, and nine hours of battery life. It wraps this all up in an attractive, slimline style and a $699.99 price tag – down 32% on the sticker price of $1,030. But with only a GeForce MX150, don’t expect to run the latest games on the highest settings.
OMEN 15 LAPTOP – 25% OFF
For something a little beefier, consider the HP OMEN 15 laptop. It comes with a 9th-gen Intel i5 processor, 8GB of memory, 256GB SSD storage, and a mighty GTX 1650 that should be more than enough to run the latest games on high settings. Formerly $1,000, it can now be yours for $750.
If you’re feeling flush, you can upgrade to an RTX 2060 for mobile real-time ray tracing, and with 20% off the sticker price that’s still a bit of a bargain at just under a grand.
Gaming Monitors
HP Pavilion Gaming 32 HDR Display – 23% off
On the hunt for a new monitor? The Pavilion 32 is a solid option, with a generously sized 1440p VA panel with HDR. With a standard 60Hz refresh rate, it also supports AMD FreeSync, a technology that reduces tearing and stuttering by synchronizing the screen’s refresh rate with whatever you’re doing on the computer. Normally $450, you can get it for $345 in the HP sale.
OMEN by HP 32 Display – 20% off
Another option for those who enjoy big-screen gaming, OMEN’s 1440p, 32-inch display comes with FreeSync and a higher refresh rate of 75Hz. The 15Hz bump may not sound like much, but is noticeably superior to gaming at 60Hz. Pick it up in the sale for $345 – a 20% discount.
HP Pavilion 27q Dual Display Bundle – 24% off
If you’re all about the dual-monitor life, this one’s for you. These two 27-inch, 1440p screens have edge-to-edge displays and support AMD’s FreeSync gaming tech. If you’re a creator, the Samsung PLS panel technology HP has used produces outstanding colors with 100% RGB color coverage. Each individual screen is discounted, but with this deal you get a bundle discount on top of that – both screens together are $500, a 24% discount on the usual price of $660.
HP 24yh Display – 19% off
Here’s a great option if you’re on more of a budget. Only $105 in the sale – a 19% discount – this 24-inch IPS panel offers an FHD 1080p picture, with superior colors compared with cheap TN panels, or even VA options.
Peripherals
OMEN Sequencer Keyboard – 56% off
If you’re in the market for a new keyboard, look no further. $80 is a great price for a mechanical gaming keyboard anyway, but the Omen Sequencer boasts optical switches that use light for actuation. This means much faster response times – up to ten times faster than traditional mech switches. Targeted at high-performance twitch gamers, you know who you are…
HP Spectre Bluetooth Mouse – $10 off
Here’s a nice deal on a simple yet stylish Bluetooth mouse. There’s no rack of programmable buttons so hardcore gamers looking for a new desktop mouse may want to turn elsewhere, but for $45 it’s perfect to pair with your laptop when working or gaming on the go. No one really likes a trackpad, after all.
Desktop PC
OMEN Obelisk Desktop PC – $190 off
The striking OMEN Obelisk is both a stylish centerpiece for your gaming desk and an imposing statement at your next LAN party. Ray-tracing ready with an RTX 2060, plus the option to upgrade to an RTX 2080 Ti for the most powerful gaming performance on the planet, it’s got the walk to back up the talk. The summer sale deal writes $190 off the sticker price of $1,390, a 14% discount, to bring it down to $1200.
HP All-in-One 24-f1055z – $170 off
If you’re looking to buy a new rig from scratch and on a budget, here’s the deal for you. This HP All-in-One offers a Ryzen 3000 APU with Vega graphics and a quad-core, eight-thread processor at 3.7GHz. You also get 8GB of memory, 1TB of HDD storage, a 24-inch display, a DVD writer drive, and a basic mouse and keyboard into the bargain. It won’t trace any rays, but it should run most modern games at modest settings, and at just $500 – an 16% discount – you’ll be hard-pressed to find a full gaming setup any cheaper.
