But first, you’ll want to know what Hypercharge: Unboxed is all about. It’s all about the plight of plastic soldiers as they try to defend the Hyper-Core from being destroyed by weaponised toys. If they fail then the humans will forget about every comic, toy, and cartoon. This means the game is a first-person shooter with tower-defence elements as you’ll need to rely on more than your shooting to defend the Hyper-Core.
Laying traps, turrets, and building walls will help you and the rest of the plastic soldiers in the battle. You don’t have to do it all alone, either – Hypercharge: Unboxed supports up to four players in local and online co-op.
The coolest part of the game is that the battlefields are back yards, bedrooms, and kitchens. And you have to navigate them as a toy soldier, meaning they’re huge – the sense of scale lends the game a magical feel as familiar spaces are given a new perspective. Check it out in the trailer below.
