Some people hit the weights to blow of some steam, others contort their bodies in impossible shapes and hum, I drive around blowing up cars and running people over. When I’m stuck on the bus, more often than not I’ll find myself firing up the original Carmageddon on my phone, but it’s a bit long in the tooth – though undeniably still a blast – so I’m eagerly awaiting Stainless Games’ Carmageddon: Reincarnation.
It’s been a long road, first revealed as Carmageddon 4 way back in 2003, over a decade ago. After a successful Kickstarter campaign last year, it’s on track for a Q1 release this year on Steam Early Access. To get you in the mood for vehicular mayhem, Stainless Games have shown off a bouncy suspension video, which is extremely hypnotic, but eclipsed by the ominous, phallic drill on the front of the car. Look at it spin, menacingly, below.
