IndieCade Europe brings the world’s brightest indie stars to Paris this weekend

IndieCade Europe hits Paris this weekend, meaning a chance to see a lot of awesome indie games

IndieCade hosts a series of worldwide events aimed at bringing the best indie devs together and giving you a chance to play their latest and greatest games. The event comes to Paris this weekend in the form of IndieCade Europe, two days full of panels from industry vets and opportunities to check out dozens of indie titles.

Speakers include Hidetaka ‘Swery65’ Suehiro, who’ll explain his transition to indie development, 11 bit studios’ Marta Fijak, who’ll talk about how game systems communicate meaning, and Amanita Design’s Jakub Dvorsky, who’ll tell you about world history through the perspective of Chuchel. There’s a lengthy block of talks on what unionisation could mean for indie developers, and you can also learn yoga from Larian Studios writer Charlene Putney.

Then there are the games. Nearly 30 titles will be on show, from the gorgeous hand-drawn animation of Forgotten Anne to the experimental live installation of Living Orb. You’ll find a takedown of pick-up artistry in The Game: The Game, and the latest from the makers of Rogue Legacy in Full Metal Furies. There’s plenty more – and you can find a full list at the official site.

If you’re a developer, you can also bring your game to the Show & Tell demo area for playtesting and promotion. There’ll be an opportunity for meeting fellow devs at the Indie Exchange ahead of the show, and an awards ceremony highlighting the best games on offer.

IndieCade Europe tickets are available ahead of the event taking place October 19 and 20 at the Conservatoire national des arts et métiers in Paris. That’s this weekend, so if you’re heading out you’ll want to make your arrangements soon.
