Just Cause 3 is free to try on Steam for the next two days

Nvidia Just Cause 2

Just Cause 3 is a game in which you can attach mines to a cow, latch two grappling hooks to the animal, then launch it into an enemy base before detonating it. I call this move the ‘cattlepult’. It’s also a game where you can get in a car and race through a sunflower field, flattening the flowers into the shape of a phallus before taking to the air to admire your handiwork.

When it’s good, Just Cause 3 is very good. Unfortunately, it had a rocky release on PC, with stuttering issues affecting performance on a variety of setups. It seems like those issues have now been resolved, however, judging by the game’s recent Steam reviews. Well, now you can try for yourself, as it’s free on Steam until July 28.

If you decide you like it, you can pick it up on sale right now and keep it forever for $12.49. Not only that, but the Just Cause 3 multiplayer mod just launched on Steam, so you can easily enjoy some madcap multiplayer mayhem on the island of Medici once you’re done with the main story.

The bundle is also on sale, so you can get the game and its Air, Land & Sea DLC pass for $18.74. The offer ends on July 28, however, so make up your mind before the trial runs out. Head to the Just Cause 3 page on Steam for a look.
