Kingdom Come: Deliverance is Team Yennefer

The Witcher 3

A Kingdom Come: Deliverance easter egg contains a character who’ll be very familiar to fans of The Witcher 3. Roach, Geralt’s horse, can be found in Warhorse’s historical adventure.

Shoddy swordfighting holding you back? Here’s our Kingdom Come: Deliverance combat guide.

Roach has been discovered by multiple players, living comfortably in a farm in the village of Merhojed. Geralt is known to have named all of his horses Roach, but if you delve a little deeper into the horse’s backstory, it’s clear that this is the horse you rode across the Continent in The Witcher 3. If you ask the owner of the farm about the horse, he’ll tell you “she’s got a mind of her own,” likely referring to some of the interesting pathing decisions that Roach makes in CD Projekt Red’s adventure.

It’s clear that Warhorse have their own take on the way Geralt’s story should have played out. The farmer tells you he bought the horse “from some odd Polish fellow.” Apparently, “he’s settled down with a wife, he’s afraid she’d want him to stuff her [Roach].” That’s almost definitely a reference to Yennefer, who has some interesting habits when it comes to stuffed horses. It is, of course, also the wrong opinion, as everyone knows that it’s Triss, and not that shadow-haired harlot, who Geralt should have ended up with. It’s just a shame so many of my colleagues are so wrong about this.
