League of Legends’ new champion has been delayed until the next patch

League of Legends' Kindred delayed

League of Legends patch 5.19 went live last week, and was meant to be joined by Kindred, a new champion. Kindred’s a damage-dealing jungler who is really two characters in one, a hunter and his pal, a wolf.

Riot’s put together a champion spotlight for Kindred, but also had a bit of bad news: the new champion has been delayed due to a “gameplay-impacting issue”.

“We found an important, gameplay-impacting issue that we can’t release, specifically related to Kindred,” explained Riot in a forum post. “Rather than rush a fix out the door, we are going to take due diligence to maintain the integrity of the game and release Kindred (all fixed up) next patch, once it has had adequate coverage. Until that time I hope Worlds can sustain your hype train. We really can’t wait to get this champ in your hands and see what you can do with them. They are (still) coming!”

In the meantime, here’s the spotlight.
