Well, League of Legends fans, LoL patch 10.11 has landed with an enormous thump on the MOBA game’s testing servers – and I can assure you, it’s huge. Now that LoL patch 10.10 is live in-game and Pulsefire 2020 is about to begin, it’s time to take a look at what’s on the way to the game with its eleventh patch of the year – starting, of course, with that amazing Volibear update.
The Relentless Storm’s rework made its debut earlier this week, revealing the Juggernaut Champ’s ferocious new classic skin and lore – and now we’ve got a full set of updated abilities, stats, skins, splash art, and VO to get a good look at. Plus, there’s a fantastically fierce free new Volibear skin for players who own or buy Volibear during patch 10.11. Sweet! We’ve included everything you’ll want to know and see in the Volibear Champion rework section in the patch notes below.
But that’s far from all this patch – Astronaut Bard, Astronaut Poppy, and Astronaut Gnar are all making their own debuts this coming update, which you can also find below if you’re keen to check these out ahead of their arrival.
Plus, there’s already a hefty batch of Champion and Item balance changes up for tweaking and tinkering on the LoL PBE, and while these won’t be final just yet, it looks like we can expect to see quite a few key adjustments head to the game in a couple of weeks’ time.

LEAGUE OF LEGENDS PATCH 10.11 RELEASE DATE AND DOWNTIME
As reflected in the 2020 League of Legends patch schedule, LoL patch 10.11 will go live on Thursday, May 28. Maintenance times have now been confirmed, and will begin at 03:00 AM PT for NA servers, 05:00 UK for EUW servers, and 03:00 CET for EUNE servers and last for approximately three hours.

ABILITIES
The Relentless Storm (Passive):
“Volibear gains 5% attack speed whenever he deals damage, which stacks up to 5 times.
Lightning Claws: At 5 stacks, Volibear’s claws ignite with lightning, causing his basic attack to deal 11-60 (+40% AP) bonus magic damage to the 5 closest enemies. Volibear must deal damage within 6 seconds to maintain this effect.”
Thundering Smash (Q):
Cooldown: 14/13/12/11/10 seconds
Mana: 50
“Volibear gains 10/15/20/25/30% movement speed for 4 seconds (or 20/30/40/50/60% towards enemy Champions) and the ability to move through units. While active, Volibear’s next basic attack deals 20/40/60/80/100 (+120% bAD) bonus damage and stuns the target for 1 second.
Volibear becomes enraged if an enemy immobilizes him before he stuns a target, resetting this ability and its cooldown.”
Frenzied Maul (W):
Cooldown: 5 seconds
Mana: 30/35/40/45/50
“Volibear mauls an enemy, dealing 10/35/60/85/110 (+100% tAD) (+6% bonus health) physical damage, applying on-hit effects, and wounding the target for 8 seconds.
If Frenzied Maul is used on a wounded target, its damage is increased by 50% and Volibear restores 20/35/50/65/80 health + 8/10/12/14/16% of his missing health (50% effective against minions).”
Sky Splitter (E):
Cooldown: 15 seconds
Mana: 60
“After a delay, Volibear summons a lightning bolt at a target location. This deals 60/90/120/150/180 (+80% AP) (+7/8.5/10/11.5/13% of the target’s maximum health) magic damage and slows enemies by 40% for 2 seconds. Damage against non-Champions is capped at 100/200/300/400/500.
If Volibear is inside the blast zone, he gains a shield equal to 15% of his maximum health (+80% AP) for 3 seconds.”
Stormbringer (R):
Cooldown: 160/140/120 seconds
Mana: 100
“Volibear transforms and leaps toward a target location, gaining 200/400/600 health, 50 attack range, and the ability to move through units for the next 12 seconds.
Upon landing, nearby enemy towers are disabled for 2/4/6 seconds and suffer 250/475/700 (+250% bAD) (+125% AP) physical damage. Nearby enemies are slowed by 50%, decaying over 1 second. Enemies directly underneath Volibear suffer 250/475/700 (+250% bAD) (+125% AP) physical damage.”
MISCELLANEOUS CHANGELIST NOTES
Champion designer Nathan Lutz has posted several tweets detailing some changes for Volibear, some already made and others on the way sometime in the future:

If you didn't know, Volibear has a micro-dash attached to his Q, which puts him just 50 units away from his target instead of keeping him at his max range of 150. To address some feedback, I've disabled this against jungle monsters since they usually stand still.

This will probably result in being a top buff and slight jungle nerf in terms of early gank damage. We don't think the lower AD will hurt Triforce since Voli's kit synergizes so well with every component of it.

One more thing- @DavidHelsby2 and I are trying to bring back the chest pound and roar you may have seen in the trailers. It's a bit buggy right now but the idea is that it will play when Volibear kills a tower or epic monster if he's out of combat.
