UK mobile network, giffgaff, is the latest company to catch the eSports bug – offering a respectable £10,000 and “other prizes” in an upcoming League of Legends tournament free to UK residents. The tournament will be open to players and teams of all skill levels, and the finals will be held at the Insomnia 53 event on November the 21st.
If you fancy a shot, you and your teammates have until October 5th to register, so hurry!
Here’s what giffgaff requires from you, it’s not a lot:
- Have a ranked, EUW team with at least 5 members (and a max of 9)
- Everyone in the team (including subs) needs to be 18 or older and a resident of the UK & Ireland (3 months or more) by November 20th, 2014
- Be available to play the online matches and, if you’re good enough, attend the offline final on the weekend of the 20th of November
