Napad is the Serbo-Croatian word for “assault”, and the name of one of Resident Evil’s ugliest nasties in a crowded field. A sort of rat king made of humans, the Napad sees C-virus infected corpses fuse together and adopt a really angry version of sentience. Sounds like just the thing for a holiday-for-four in Georgia, doesn’t it?
Coach, Nick, Ellis and Rochelle hopped over to RE6 on Steam just over a week ago to bring the good fight to Raccoon City. Now the first of a series of Biohazardous creature reskins has hit Chet Faliszek’s corner of the Left 4 Dead 2 Steam Workshop, and can be yours for a cursory click of the ‘Subscribe’ button and a negligible slice of your hard drive.
Meanwhile, modders are working on their own Resident Evil-themed Workshop entries – the best of which be included in a special Resident Evil 6 collection. The creators “might even get a few goodies thrown their way,” say Valve.
If you’d like a sneak preview of old Nappy getting a panning in the American South-East, check out the video below, courtesy of Faliszek’s channel.
Yuck. What kind of monstrosity would you like to see transposed next?
