The bonus episode for Life is Strange: Before the Storm launched earlier today, closing out the prequel’s story with a chance to say goodbye to Max and Chloe. The developers already warned that this may be the last we’ll see of the two, but it’s not the end for Life is Strange. In fact, we should expect to know what’s next very soon.

As part of the announcement for the Farewell episode’s release, the game’s official Tumblr also revealed that Michel Koch and Raoul Barbet at Dontnod will present details on the new game in “the coming months.” There’s little detail just yet, but the news does mention “new story and characters,” suggesting that we’re moving to a new cast and setting for the next proper Life is Strange title.
Dontnod confirmed that they would delve into Life is Strange 2 nearly a year ago, though the announcement of a prequel from Deck Nine Games made sure Before the Storm was more pressing in the minds of fans. Dontnod are currently in the midst of development on Vampyr, which is set to release in June.
