March 11, 2026: We added the latest potential leak that points towards Scarlet Witch and Magneto being added to Marvel Tokon Fighting Souls.
Who are all the Marvel Tokon Fighting Souls characters? Arc System Works has some difficult decisions to make before its 4v4 tag-team fighting game launches, mainly on the character roster front. After all, if Miles Morales isn't in this game, we suspect Arc will have to respond to some rather stern emails. We now have confirmation that the game will feature 20 characters on the launch roster, leaving nine remaining spots for our favorite heroes and villains.
With the Marvel Tokon Fighting Souls release date set for August 2026, there's plenty of time to theorize which characters will be added to the fighting game before it launches. Before we do that, take a closer look at which Marvel Tokon characters have made the roster in the upcoming game and who is likely to join the cast based on the Marvel Tokon Fighting Souls easter eggs we've spotted.
Here are the Marvel Tokon characters and movesets revealed so far:
Captain America
Steve Rogers is equipped with his trusty shield, made from a mix of vibranium and adamantium, and he's ready to throw down with anyone who gets in his way. The only weapons this man needs are his hands and his shield, using them to great effect to pummel his opponents to a pulp.
The only form of projectile you'll be using with Cap is his shield, acting partially as a boomerang that he can use to hit opponents from a distance.
Iron Man
This anime-inspired version of Iron Man has all the gadgets and gizmos Tony Stark is known for. His suit of armor enables him to deal damage using energy blasts and beams, giving him the tools required to keep his distance during combat.
He also has an air dash that utilizes the thrusters on his suit, perfect for crossing up unsuspecting opponents. We now know that this air dash is eight-directional based on the footage from the closed beta, making Iron Man particularly dangerous. Combine this with a projectile assist to create deadly mix-ups.
Ms. Marvel
Ms. Marvel, also known as Kamala Khan, is ready to grapple her way to victory, taking advantage of her extending limbs to pack a massive punch to her enemies.
Taking a closer look at her moveset, she appears to be a grappler, featuring a powerful command grab and a spinning cyclone reminiscent of a popular Russian wrestler.
Star-Lord
As the leader of the Guardians of the Galaxy, Star-Lord specializes in ranged combat, sporting a variety of weapons in his arsenal to blow his opponents away.
He has his legendary blasters, a large grenade launcher, and a freeze ray to stop enemies in their tracks by turning them into a lump of ice. Star-Lord also appears to be quite mobile, springing into action with his rocket-powered boots to quickly jump behind enemies.
Dr. Doom
Dr. Doom may be the slowest character we've seen so far, at least in terms of his walk speed, but he more than makes up for this with an instant teleport dash to get out of harm's way.
He appears to take advantage of orbital strikes, capable of tracking opponents as they walk around the battlefield.
Storm
The final character reveal from Sony's summer State of Play event, Storm's appearance confirms that at least one of the X-Men will be on the Marvel Tokon Fighting Souls roster. As a master of the elements, Storm deals damage using wind, electricity, and ice attacks to inflict pain on her targets.
Her attacks appear to have large hit boxes, so she could be excellent at hurting any assist characters who happen to be called out at the wrong time.
Ghost Rider
Roberto 'Robbie' Reyes takes on the Ghost Rider mantle, whipping enemies from a distance using his Hellfire Chain. Ghost Rider looks to be a heavy hitter, capable of bouncing his opponents off the ground using his fire-imbued chain. Speaking of which, fire appears to be a large part of his arsenal, utilizing it as both a defensive and offensive tool.
A huge thanks to Shacknews for taking photos of Ghost Rider and Spider-Man's movesets at the Tokyo Game Show. We now have confirmation that Ghost Rider has a risk-reward element to his attacks, forcing you to consider using his skills when the Vengeance Gauge starts to fill up.
Spider-Man
Bitten by a radioactive spider as a teen, Peter Parker takes full advantage of his enhanced strength and speed to dazzle his enemies with lightning-fast maneuvers.
Spider-Man's impressive acrobatic abilities take center stage as he shows off using a range of theatrical attacks. We also see his suit comes packing web shooters, though they aren't used much in the short gameplay we've seen so far.
Magik
Magik, also known as Illyana Rasputina, has made her way onto the roster. Magik wields the Soulsword and utilizes her magical abilities to spawn portals, giving her access to a teleport that allows her to bamboozle the opposing team. In the brief gameplay we see of Magik, her attacks have great range due to the reach of her sword, and she's able to fire large projectiles to keep enemies at bay.
Danger
The physical embodiment of the X-Men's danger room, Danger harnesses alien technology to become a master of projectiles. She appears to use mines, drills, and lasers to fill the screen with hazards.
Wolverine
At long last, Wolverine has been revealed as a playable fighter. Unlike in the decades of games we've seen him in before, his moveset appears to focus on hard-hitting attacks, ripping into foes with his blades. These attacks seem perfect for follow-up combos, sending enemies flying into the air to carry on the sequence.
Potential Marvel Tokon Fighting Souls characters
The latest potential character leak, spotted on March 9, 2026, comes from Ozone, a Bulgarian game retailer. The description for the game revealed that Scarlet Witch and Magneto will be on the roster. These characters would fit in with what we know about the team captains and who could potentially be added to the roster. The description has since been removed, and there's some speculation among the community that this information may have been lifted from Marvel Rivals as opposed to being an actual leak.
As highlighted by Takeshi Yamanaka, producer at Arc System Works, on the PlayStation blog, he stated there's a certain set of criteria that any potential character must fulfill to be added to the roster. In addition to having characters who give the developers plenty to work with in terms of battle types, they want characters who have never been playable in a fighting game before and those who are the 'face' of Marvel.
Sony's State of Play event on February 12, 2026, confirmed that there are five teams on the roster, and we now know who the team leaders are: Storm (X-Men), Captain America (Avengers), Ghost Rider, Doctor Doom, and Spider-Man. The latest speculation suggests Ghost Rider will lead the Midnight Suns, Spider-Man will lead the Defenders, and Doctor Doom will lead a group of villains.
Based on the easter eggs we've seen in the gameplay so far, coupled with these crucial details about the criteria upcoming characters must meet, there are some standout fighters that we feel could be coming to the game, including Doctor Strange, Thor, Daredevil, Black Widow (Yelena Belova), The Winter Soldier, Mr. Fantastic, Black Panther (Shuri), The Punisher, and Vision.
All these characters are heavily involved in the current and upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe movies and TV shows, so it would make sense if Arc tried to add some relevant characters to tie in with any movies on the release schedule. Avengers: Doomsday is scheduled to release at the end of 2026, and we can't imagine the developers would miss a golden opportunity like this to build some hype for both the game and the movie.
There was some speculation that IGN may have accidentally revealed that Doctor Strange was in the game, based on a YouTube video's description that had his name listed alongside the other revealed characters. This was most likely listed in error, though it wouldn't surprise us if Doctor Strange was coming to the game at some point, as he is a major character in the MCU.
A trailer, revealed during Sony's November State of Play event, gave us a closer look at the X-Mansion stage. Unsurprisingly, the X-Men's home features several heroes as background NPCs, including Charles Xavier, Nightcrawler, Angel, Iceman, Beast, Colossus, Gambit, and Psylocke. This doesn't confirm or deconfirm any characters per se, though if we had to guess, the omission of any X-Men on this stage could suggest they have a higher chance of being added to the roster.
Those are all the Marvel Tokon characters revealed so far, but keep an eye out on this guide as we'll be adding more as soon as they're revealed. In the meantime, we'll direct you to our new PC games list to play something fun while you wait for the game to launch. We also have a list of the best multiplayer games if you fancy something competitive instead.
