Marvel Vs. Capcom 4 looks set for a 2017 release

Marvel Vs. Capcom 4

Some credible rumours are doing the rounds at the moment and they all point to one thing: Marvel Vs. Capcom 4 releasing in 2017. Get ready for some cross-franchise scrapping.

According to Polygon, they’ve confirmed via sources that the sequel will be officially unveiled atSony’s PlayStation Experience event, December 3-4, alongside the Capcom Cup 2016 Street Fighter 5 tournament.

From the Marvel side, there will apparently be more of a focus on the Marvel Cinematic Universe, so expect Iron Man and friends to replace X-Men’s mutants, who Marvel no longer own the film rights to. That means no Wolverine in every match. I know!

While the series is best known on console, Capcom have been pretty great with bringingtheir titles to PC lately, so hopefully that’s the case for this. Street Fighter V was for PlayStation 4 and PC-only, after all. With Tekken 7 also coming to PC, the fighting genre is certainly being represented on PC lately.

It’ll be interesting to see if any of Sony’s fighters enter the ring on the Capcom side as some part of the exclusive deal.Which fighters would you like to see?
