Mass Effect: Andromeda’s post-launch multiplayer maps will be free

Mass Effect Andromeda multiplayer maps

We already knew Mass Effect: Andromeda won’t have a Season Pass, but BioWare and EA have been tight-lipped on how DLC will work. While we’ll likely get traditional story expansions that will be paid for, happily all multiplayer maps will be free.

Not long now until Mass Effect: Andromeda’s launch. Here’s our list of all the other upcoming PC games

In a reply to a tweet, BioWare general manager Aaryn Flynn said that Andromeda will work the same as Mass Effect 3, in which all multiplayer maps were released for free.

You can get some practise in with the game’s Origin Access trial, which releases on March 16. The game launches proper on March 23.

Elsewhere, Mass Effect: Andromeda’s producer, Fernando Melo, has been teasing some images from the multiplayer, which you can see below.
