Konami are looking for Kojima’s replacement for a new Metal Gear game

Now it’s been officially settled that Kojima is not infact on holiday but is actually now the head of his own new studio, Konami are putting out the feelers for his replacement. The company are now hiring staff for a new Metal Gear game, and they need an imaginative person to lead the project.

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is one of the best PC games of 2015, but will Konami or Kojima score the next GOTY?

The brief job advert on the Konami website demands that applicants have “Boundless imagination, and the capacity for exciting new ideas” and “A strong passion toward game creation”, as well as past experience in high-end development. Basically: Kojima, but not.

The advert doesn’t expand any further than that, and only notes that it’s a position for a new Metal Gear game. Will it be the sixth Metal Gear Solid game? Or perhaps, with Kojima gone, it’s time to move to a different area of that universe. Metal Gear Liquid or Metal Gear Gaseous are prime titles waiting to be seized.
