The Mighty Quest for Epic Loot is the cutest looking dungeon crawler known to man and it’s appeared on Steam Early Access. Although it will eventually be free to play Ubisoft are selling entrance to the game’s closed beta for £15 a head.
It’s nice to see companies like Ubisoft running good longform betas to run their game through the paces. Mighty Quest’s been in closed beta for more than a year now, looks like Ubi are taking their time to get this one right.

You can pick the game up in four different flavours. The first two are different variants of the base classes, the knight and the archer. They’ll set you back £15 and get you access to the beta in game cash and some cosmetics. The later tiers are priced at £30 and £70. Those higher priced tiers get you extra loot storage, extra weaponry, and boss creatures.

I’ve been wanting to give Mighty Quest a try ever since reading Steve’s preview. The game sounds like it could be a fine way to game with friends. Short bursts of 10 minute gaming to fit between evening activities.
Unfortunately if you were already in the beta you don’t automatically get a Steam version. The only way into this one is to buy it I’m afraid.
