The Mighty Quest for Epic Loot is out now; check out our Mighty Quest for Epic Loot review.

The Mighty Quest for Epic Loot, Ubisoft’s part Diablo, part Monty Python and the Holy Grail collectathon, is having a massive party, and you’re all invited. There will be mead, there will be duels, and there will be loot. Between the 27th August and 3rd September, you can get access to the game without being part of the beta.

The Open House will be the third of it’s kind, and poses a challenge: collectively, players must gather one billion gold coins. Should players manage this in the “Loot-o-Thon”, special boss Lord Marleybone will be unlocked, who reigns over level 20-24 zones. The last event of this kind saw players amass 498 million gold coins, so this target isn’t out of the question.

A new trailer also reveals The Earl of Evilosity, a mage playable character who packs a mean elemental punch, and also happens to be obsessed with world domination. As typical for The Mighty Quest for Epic Loot, his character trailer contains a good selection of quotable lines.

Get access to the Open House over at the official website, where you can sign up for access, or login with your Uplay details.
