Mighty Quest for Epic Loot trailer introduces Sir Painhammer and castle building

The Mighty Quest for Epic Loot is out now; check out our Mighty Quest for Epic Loot review.

The latest trailer for Ubisoft’s Mighty Quest for Epic Loot is a delightfully colourful exploration of creating vicious traps with which to slaughter your enemy: anonymous internet player.

It shows how the game is evenly split between delving into castles online in an ARPG mode and developing your own trap and minion-filled castle in a Dungeon Keeper-inspired god game mode.

Steve was quite taken with Ubisoft’s free-to-play game, saying “I honestly think Ubisoft have a shot at creating the first free to play game to challenge the dirtiness of those three words.” It’s not hard to see why. The game doesn’t appear to sacrifice anything in terms of production values, its animations are lively and its art style is vibrant, both working together to create an engaging world. And the game itself is a genuinely clever concept, marrying dungeon-building with dungeon-crawling to create a game that glories in loot drops and thwarting other players.

I’m really looking forward to getting stuck in. You can create a beta account here.

Cheers, VG247.
