Minecraft’s getting a wee update today tomorrow morning. The switch from 1.7.4 to 1.7.5 isn’t a major one, mainly affecting Minecraft Realms.
Mojang’s goal is to bring Minecraft Realms to all Nordic countries (Iceland, Finland, Norway and Denmark) starting next week.
1.7.5 adds Mini Games to Minecraft Realms, temporarily replacing your server and transforming into Mini Games like Cake Defense. You’ll be able to switch games on the fly, and when you exit, you’ll be able to return to your realm, unchanged.
While Minecraft Realms is only available in Sweden right now, the plan is to release it worldwide, creating a simpler way to host servers.
Mojang is still working on the 1.8 snapshots, and before 1.8 releases there will be a 1.7.6 patch adding support for the new skin system and name changing. 1.7.6 is due out next Month, after GDC.
