Mojang are giving gamers the opportunity to achieve their heart’s desire, appearing in a centrefold. Mojang are sourcing images for their 2014 calendar and, while they could have dropped into their game with a camera and tripod of their own, they’ve thrown it out to the community to do the job for them.
Details of how to submit are hidden below the break.
It’s a great little project, Mojang are looking for artwork created by the community to form the 12 month’s of images in next year’s calendar, those lucky dozen receive prizes for their work, and then all the money raised from the calendar sales goes to the UN Block by Block project which Mojang have been part of establishing.
Each of the winners receives:
- A glow in the Dark Creeper Vinyl autographed by Notch and Jens
- $500 Cash!
- A $500 J!NX Gift Certificate
- Their art featured in the official Minecraft 2014 Wall Calendar!
The theme for this year’s submissions is “What’s the funniest thing that’s happened to you in Minecraft?”
All the details of templates and how to submit can be found here. The deadline for submissions is 8 February.
