Mirror's Edge Catalyst and Star Wars Battlefront are now free on Origin Access

Mirror's Edge

Update December 12, 2016: Blasters at the ready - Star Wars: Battlefront is now free to play for anyone with an Origin Access subscription.

Last year's sci-fi shooter has joined the growing collection of games in the Origin Access Vault, so you're free to spend as much time as you want buring your pals online with red hot laser death, or, more likely pretending to be as cool as Luke Skywalker before accidentally running under the massive foot of an AT-AT.

Update November 8, 2016: If you have an Origin Access sub, you now have free-run (yes) of the city of Glass in Mirror's Edge Catalyst.

Mirror's Edge Catalyst has entered the Origin Access Vault, so you can play it until your parkour-tired legs give out, so long as you have an active sub.

Star Wars Battlefront and Need For Speed: Most Wanted are labelled as "on their way", so expect these to join Faith, along with the 40 other games already available in the Vault, imminently.

Original Story Ocotber 7, 2016: Sometimes you might miss a game at launch, but then you'll get a chance to pick it up cheap down the line. Maybe it'll even pop up on a subscription service you're already paying for. You just gotta have faith.

If you have Origin Access, it looks like you're getting Faith, too, as EA have announced that Mirror's Edge Catalyst and Star Wars Battlefront are joining the EA Access Vault.

EA Access is the Xbox One equivalent of Origin Access, but usually these announcements carry across to PC, assuming the games are on our platform.

In this case, UFC 2 is also going to EA Access, but since that's not on PC, it looks like we're only getting the two games I already mentioned but, still, not bad.

We recently got Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare 2 in the Vault at the same time as the console lot, so I don't see why this should be any different.

Additionally, if you have Origin Access, you can play Battlefield 1 for ten hours from next week.

It's turning into a really good service. All EA could really do to make it better is to unify the console and PC subs so that you get both if you pay for one. Then it would be damn essential.

Decent, might actually pay for a month (for first time ever) so I can play SWBF with my boy and see how it goes. MEC a bonus too.
