If you’re in the mood for slaying some massive beastsies, you can get seven Monster Hunter games for less $50, including Rise and World.

Fanatical is currently offering a bundle of seven Monster Hunter games for less than $50 / £50. With Monster Hunter Wilds costing a hefty $69.99, that's a pretty good bargain, that's essentially seven for the price of less than one, and you'll have enough left over to get yourself a pizza - the perfect treat for a night of monster slaying.

The feather on the cap of this bundle is Monster Hunter Rise, the successor to World, which also features in this bundle. Rise offers is a deliciously meaty RPG game and is one of the best co-op games I've ever played. I particularly enjoyed the addition of Wirebugs, which are a huge game-changer when it comes to getting around its expansive world and offer quite a few new combat techniques as well, serving as a kind of makeshift magical zipwire.

This brings me to Wirebug Silkbind Attacks, which are essentially special moves. Each of the 14 weapon types has its own Silkbind Attacks. One useful Wirebug ability for the bow weapon class is Focus Shot, which allows you to dodge while crouching, and as you do, your stamina regenerates. My personal favorite is Shrouded Vault, a dual-blade attack that tosses you forward in a lightshow.

While you can spend a lot of time agonising over getting the right weapon and armor combo for any given monster, it's the hunts themselves that truly steal the spotlight. Each encounter demands careful strategy, as every monster comes with its own unpredictable attack patterns and distinctive move set, making every battle a unique challenge.

Of course, Monster Hunter Rise also adds a selection of new beasties for you to dispatch too. Sometimes you'll encounter smaller monsters like Bombadgy, who, despite looking quite cute, can be an annoying little pest, shooting out fire blasts from its belly full of gas. Then there are the bigger beasties like Aknosom, a massive and territorial Bird Wyvern which likes to stand on one leg (a weakness you'll learn to exploit). These two require completely different techniques and together highlight the huge diversity of creatures present in the game

In our Monster Hunter Rise Review, Dave Irwin said, "If you haven't played a Monster Hunter game yet, this is the best one to start with," and ultimately scored it a 9/10. This bundle is the perfect way to get your hands on the ideal entry point to the series, with six others for you to plough through afterwards. "
