New Monster Hunter Wilds update is going to fix the worst progression blockers

Capcom confirms it has a Monster Hunter Wilds update inbound that will fix a number of progression blockers currently ruining the RPG.

Capcom has confirmed that a Monster Hunter Wilds update "addressing known progression blockers" is coming soon, after a handful of glitches from the launch weekend impacted players. Wilds has been a gargantuan success so far, but since release, many players on PC have been reporting problems with glitches, framerates, and performance. This upcoming patch should make your MH Wilds experience much smoother.

"Good news! A patch addressing known progression blockers will deploy tomorrow morning!" Capcom writes on the Twitter/X Monster Hunter Wilds account. "When the update drops, players will be briefly removed from their online session, but you'll be able to jump straight back in after updating!"

The developer's post quotes the MH Status account, which outlines which progress-impeding problems are being fixed and when. Some players have reported that an NPC doesn't appear in the main mission for Chapter 5-2 'A World Turned Upside Down,' which disables all story progression in the RPG. Others have been saying that the Grill a Meal and Ingredient Center features can't be unlocked, even when the relevant progress criteria have been met. There's no need to worry, though, because Capcom assures that all of these problems are about to be fixed in the impending update.

Capcom says an update to fix multiple progression blockers is coming to Monster Hunter Wilds on all platforms, and will go live on Tuesday March 4 at midnight PST / 3am EST / 8am GMT / 7pm AEDT. Keep in mind that online sessions will be disconnected at this time, and that you'll need to update the game to continue playing online.

Players are criticising the plummeting frame rates, poor performance, a confusing range of menus, and concerns that the early monsters are too easy.
