Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition almost as cheap as a punch in the gut after Mortal Kombat X reveal

Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition sale

Warner Bros. and NetherRealm announced Mortal Kombat X yesterday via the time honoured method of a CGI trailer that doesn’t explain what’s new. Mind you, watching Scorpion and Sub-Zero duke it out is always pretty entertaining if you like broken bones and fire-breathing skulls.

While you’re waiting for it to come out, it might be worth picking up Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition, not just because it’s excellent, but because it’s disgustingly cheap on Steam right now.

Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition is the ninth core game in the series, with all the DLC chucked in to boot. We had to wait two years to get it on PC, but it was worth it. Barring the hideously compressed cutscenes, it’s a gorgeous, bloody fighter with every Mortal Kombat brawler getting involved. Also, Freddy Krueger is inexplicably in it.

It’s up on Steam for a measly £3.74/$4.99 until June 6th.

NetherRealm’s DC comics fighter, Injustice: Gods Among Us is also going cheap, and you can snatch that for £5.74/$7.49. That’s the Ultimate Edition, with all the DLC characters including Lobo. Lobo, people. Even if it wasn’t for Lobo, it’s still worth a look as it’s a surprisingly tight fighter. It’s lightyears ahead of Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe.
