Nvidia reveals GameStream-ready PCs and routers optimised for PC and cloud streaming

GameStream PCs and routers

Streaming games! It’s what everyone’s talking about, even my mum. Well, maybe not, but she did post a picture on Facebook of a stream that she took on a countryside walk with the family dog. That stream was streaming water. Close enough, I reckon. And I’m sure she’d be fascinated by Nvidia’s list of GameStream ready PCs and wireless routers, which was recently unveiled

All the GameStream ready PCs come with a GTX GPU and GeForce Experience – because they must – and manufacturers include CyberPowerPC, Digital Storm, Falcon Northwest, IBuyPower, MainGear and Origin PCV3 Gaming.

GameStream ready routers are being pushed out by Asus, Buffalo, D-Link and NetGear, optimised for PC streaming and Nvidia Grid cloud streaming, with Nvidia starting up its cloud gaming services at some point in an unspecificied future time. Probably not tomorrow, though.

GameStream moved out of beta two months ago, more recently adding support for 1080p at 60fps, and the service supports over 50 games including shiny new stuff like Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag.

Cheers, Polygon.
