Origin Access now includes Pillars of Eternity, Mad Max, and Prison Architect

Torment: Tides of Numenera

Origin Access lets you play an increasingly impressive number of really good games, and another batch has just been made available to members. Eight games newly added to the vault include excellent RPGs Pillars of Eternity and Torment: Tides of Numenera, the grim Dwarf Fortress-like Prison Architect, and the very angry Mad Max.

Have a look at our list of the best PC games ever.

EA’s monthly subscription service runs at $4.99 USD per month, or $29.99 per year, and that comes with access to the Origin Access’ full vault of nearly 100 games for as long as you’re a member, plus you’ll sometimes get a chance to play new games before they come out.

Here’s the complete list of newly-added games:

  • Mad Max
  • Pillars of Eternity
  • Torment: Tides of Numenera
  • Prison Architect
  • Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons
  • Ember
  • Virginia
  • Spore

Fraser Brown wrote about his love of sandstorms in Mad Max back when it came out in 2015, and I wound up enjoying my time driving around its strangely beautiful wasteland landscapes, a roaring supercharger in front of me, as I searched for more scrap to bolt onto my car and more bad bald men to introduce to the Queensberry Rules.

There are dozens and dozens of hours of excellent RPG here as well. Pillars of Eternity is terrific and the sequel is on its way next week, but Torment: Tides of Numenera is I think more people ought to play. It has a unique notion of conflict and morality, not to mention a far-future fantasy setting like nothing I’ve ever seen. You can read Jeremy’s full review here.
