Information on Overkill’s The Walking Dead has been slow in coming, but now we have a new cinematic trailer to look at, featuring the second of the game’s playable characters, a trauma doctor named Maya.

While we still haven’t gotten to see any gameplay, these trailers have all looked very sharp. Maya’s story begins in a hospital emergency room, suddenly under siege as the zombie apocalypse pops off. Things go, as they tend to in these situations, rather pear-shaped. The scene bears more than a passing resemblance to the George Romero-directed music video for The Misfits’ “Scream.”
This is the first concrete news we’ve gotten on Overkill’s The Walking Dead since Aidan’s trailer dropped in December, and the title card at the end indicates that as of now they’re still planning on a Fall 2018 launch.
All we really know so far is that it’ll be a four-player co-op FPS set in Washington, D.C., and that it’s being made by the people who brought you Payday.
